ABOUT ME

My Background

Having grown up in a large family, I didn't have the best health literacy. Our family lived on limited vegetables and minimal nutrition. This means a family riddled with health conditions as adults. Making changes to peoples nutrition and lifestyle has become a passion of mine.

I never knew of natural therapies until I was studying and working full time and had reached complete burn out. I was generally very unhealthy. I was in and out of the doctor's office as a monthly occurrence, trying to figure out what was going wrong. My sister who was into natural remedies suggested that instead of bouncing between doctors and specialists, I went to see a naturopath. This is where my story really began. My naturopath worked with me to determine my goals and ensured I understood the 'why'. She gave me autonomy to make decisions and options for treatment. She trusted my story and heard me. I didn't have to repeat myself. She helped me to understand, without judgement, how my diet and lifestyle affected my health. So I got hooked, finished my course in community services and went back to studying, but this time in natural health.

I’m a recent graduate into the field of naturopathy and have spent a few years in community welfare fields. I have experience, and thoroughly enjoy working with teenagers and people with disabilities. I love empowering patients to understand their bodies and discover the gentle power of herbal remedies and supplements.

I enjoy being able to bridge the gap between holistic and western medicine while providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to heal. I am always looking to integrate new treatments and therapies into my practice and believe that continued learning is important for any good Naturopath.

If you are looking for someone to go on a healing journey with, who understands where you are at, the frustrations you may have experienced, or generally want to understand your health better - you have come to the right person.

I care deeply about inclusion of all people. If you are feeling worried about seeing a practitioner, please reach out and I will do all I can to ease your worries and make my practice feel like a safe place for you.
